CONFIRMED: Bhavya Gandhi aka Tappu QUITS ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’!

Actor Bhavya Gandhi, who plays the role of Tappu aka Tipendra Jethalal Gada on the show ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ on Sony’s SAB TV, has quit the show after working for more than 8 years on the show. Bhavya has literally grown up on the show as we saw him as a little kid initially. In the initial years of the show, Tappu was a notorious kid and Bhavya pulled off the role really well.

By the end of the show’s first year, Tappu had become a household name and Bhavya had become one of the most loved celebs of all time. He played son to Daya ‘Tapu-Ke-Papa’ Gada (Disha Vakhani) and Jethalal Champaklal Gada (Dilip Joshi) on screen! His grandfather, Champaklal Jayantilal Gada (Amit Bhatt) called him ‘Tappuda’ affectionately. Tappu was the ring leader of the ‘Tapu Sena’! On the show, we saw Tappu’s transform from a notorious kid to a responsible teenager. Bhavya’s character grew with him and had become one of the most important pillars of the show.

But now the actor has quit the show and this is going to make fans of the show unhappy. His mother confirmed the news and said,

“Yes he has quit the show to grab further opportunities.”

The reason behind his exit is said to be his desire to explore himself as an actor. Kicking off his venture, Bhavya has already signed a Gujarati movie. Confirming the news of his exit, Bhavya told a leading entertainment portal:

“Yes, I have quit the show in the month of January. The journey of eight years and eight months has been fruitful. I have enjoyed working with my Taarak cast and Asit (Modi) sir (producer). In the same way, in which my fans have showered me with love, I would want them to support me for my future endeavours.”

In the past, a couple of actors have quit ‘Taarak Mehta’ which owns the tag of ‘one of the longest running TV shows’.
