Shashi Kapoor passed away at 79 at the Kokilabe Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. Entire Indian film industry gathered to pay last respect to the popular actor. The news channel, print media, and online news outlet covered his funeral extensively. The news of his death was all over the place.
Popular news channel BBC also paid tribute to the veteran actor. However, it ended up making the biggest mistakes in the history of news. BBC News reported the news of Shashi Kapoor’s death by playing the video clips of Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor instead of Shashi.

The BBC has apologized for the same by issuing a statement. The statement says, “BBC News at Ten is very sorry the wrong images were used to mark the death of Shashi Kapoor.The piece did not meet its usual standards and the programme has apologised for any upset.”
