Batti Gul Meter Chalu: ‘Dekhte Dekhte’ Song Doesn’t Do Justice To Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s Classic Song, Yet It Will Soothe Your Soul
After the foot-tapping song ‘Gold Tamba’, the makers of ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ has dropped yet another track from the movie. The song is titled as ‘Dekhte Dekhte’ and is crooned by Pakistani singer Atif Aslam. Lyrics are done by Manoj Muntashir and composed by Rochak Kohli.
This love ballad is the recreation of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s classic ‘Bewafa Ho Gaye Dekhte Dekhte’. The melodious song features Shraddha Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor where they are seen remembering their happy times when they were together. Currently, they are not talking to each other.
Shahid Kapoor took to his Twitter handle to share the song with a caption that read, “What a beautiful rendition by Atif. Listening to it on loop!”

Directed by Shree Narayan Singh, the film also stars Divyendu, Yami Gautam, Sudhir Pandey, Farida Jalal and Supriya Pilgaonkar in the lead roles. The movie is about the issue of frequent power cuts in rural India. It is slated to release on 21st September.
