Anurag Kashyap, Vicky and Nawaz Take A Bow On The Raman Raghav 2.0 Review

Anurag Kashyap’s upcoming movie, The Raman Raghav 2.0’s posters are out. In one of the most promising scenes of the movie, a man assaults his girlfriend, while the two cops who are assigned as personal security guards to the girl, watch it wordlessly.

It is a powerful, heart sinking, psychopathic thriller, which will make an impact on the audience for long. The movie is certainly meant for a strong hearted audience as it portrays the violence against women that is beautifully categorized into acceptable and unacceptable.

To tell you more, Gangrape by slum dwellers – unacceptable, Marital rape – acceptable, Domestic Violence – acceptable and so on. There are many such moments like Rape of an intoxicated woman who fell off to sleep in the back seat of a cab after a late-night party: acceptable. Rape of a hard-partying drug addict who went home with a stranger at a club: acceptable.

All the above scenarios tell you about a story of two maniac individuals, who follow disturbing acts against society norms. The movie title is based on two mentally disturbed psychos, a poor man named, Ramanna and a cop named, Raghav. Many of Anurag’s films were a standstill in terms of portraying the right kind of violence and sticking to the subject of the movie. However, this movie explains murder for the sake of murder.

There are many things from the movie to describe from the handsome Vicky Kaushal, talented Nawaz, beautiful Amruta Subhash, to the sweet voice of Sona Mohapatra. Kashyap has beautifully presented every scene that does justice to its characters.

Anurag has hands on experience of 13 years now into writing and direction. Hopefully, this movie will make a positive effect in the audience’s mind for his story and direction. Some of his movies are still lying to be released for one or the other issues. We hope The Raman Raghav 2.0 brings some good news for his career.
