Junior NTR is still searching for that much needed blockbuster as Nannaku Prematho failed to live up to expectations.
This film may quench the thirst of NTR fans that have been waiting for so long to see their matinee idol’s film in the 50 crore club. But it has certainly not reached up to the pre release hype and hoopla around it.
One thing that NTR would be happy about is Nannaku Prematho’s phenomenal success in overseas. The film has nearly grossed $2 Million in US to prove the star’s increasing popularity in this territory.
Gone are the days where NTR was considered as a mass hero who couldn’t pull big crowds to the theaters in overseas.
With a reliable director like Koratala Siva at the helm for NTR’s upcoming Janata Garage, overseas buyers are betting big on it. Usually NTR films are bought for under 5 crore in overseas but Janata Garage has set a new record as it fetched 7 crore from this area.
So NTR’s next should do as well as Nannaku Prematho to be a safe venture. Can NTR score back to back $2M films to emerge as the overseas superstar of Tollywood?
