Akshay Kumar and Saina Nehwal Threatened by Maoists!!
Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar donated Rs 9 lakhs to the families of twelve CRPF jawans who lost their lives in a Maoist attack in Sukma, Chattisgarh on 24th April. Following the footsteps of Akshay, ace badminton player Saina Nehwal also donated Rs Rs 50,000 to the families of 12 jawans’ martyred in the Naxal attack in Sukma.

The Rustom actor also met Union Home Secretary Rajiv Mehrishi with a plan to develop a smartphone app so that people can donate money to the families of the jawans who got killed. In fact, he launched a web portal and a mobile app called Bharat Ke Veer through which citizens can donate to the families of the jawans.
Talking about the website Akki said, “Everybody wants to connect to people in uniform in their pain. It was a small dream and to fulfil this dream, our government really helped us. I want to thank everybody with my folded hands. My father was in Army and I am here as his son.”
