Story:

The films deal with the real life Cricketing Hero Mohammad Azharuddin who was trapped in Match Fixing Scandal and banned for the lifetime. Apart from that his Extra-Marital affair with Sangeeta Bijlani is also showed in a cheeky way.

Plot:

Born in Hyderabad, Azhar(Emraan Hashmi) by his Grandfather (Kulbhushan Kharbanda) that he will become a legendary cricketer. Soon he finds his way in Indian Cricket team and started soaring high on success. At his best days, he met with Naureen (Prachi Desai) and soon they get married. When it seems like everything is going on smoothly, he bowled out with the beauty of Sangeeta Bijlani (Nargis Fakhri), who was present during his match in London. It was after that only the bad phase of Azhar’s career started when he met with bookie M K Sharma (Rajesh Sharma) and then trapped in Match Fixing. The story then takes turns and Court Proceedings took place to ascertain his role in the Match-Fixing. The big part of the film revolves around in the Courtroom.

Direction, Music, and Screenplay:

A sluggish direction from the maker Tony D’Souza. Except few scenes, the overall movie looks unpleasant if we measure the actor’s performance. The Background movie is full of clichéd things. Few songs still can be heard but overall the music is not enough to hold you. The screenplay is decent enough to go with the flow but the poor dialogues seem ruined the movie.

The last word:

The treatment which must be given to a Biopic seems absent in the film. Azhar role shows with the glitz and glitterati and rest is just brought in to fill the gap in the movie. Only watch if you are Mohammad Azharuddin or Emraan Hashmi fan. Otherwise, You can easily skip this premature biopic drama.
