The director Operations of Air India, Amitabh Singh has issued this new advisory, which will be effective immediately. The advisory further asked flight attendants to announce Jai Hind with much passion and a slight pause.
According to the officials of Air India, this advisory was issued to remind its staff about the mood of the nation.
A similar diktat was carried out by Chairman and MD of Air India, Ashwani Lohani when the crew members were directed to greet passengers with a “namaskar” as a reminder of Indian traditions. He also asked his flight attendants to be more polite and courteous to the passengers. They should always greet the passengers with a smile, which is “a good thing”.

Now all crew need to say Jai Hind instead of thank you. Airlines need to use Sanskrit Prayer before its plane takes off https://t.co/dOMpcNwemY

I feel this is a very good move and it should be made compulsory in all such organization where announcements are made. https://t.co/Ud4DhUAUQV
