‘Aashiqui’ actor Rahul Roy became the superstar overnight with this movie. The movie was a blockbuster hit and Rahul earned name and fame with this movie. But after this movie, he couldn’t garner fame. Though he appeared in movies like ‘Junoon’, ‘Sapne Sajan Ke’, ‘Game’, ‘Haste Khelta’, ‘Phir Teri Kahani Yaad Aayee’ and many more, he failed to get that popularity he gained from ‘Aashiqui’. His magic didn’t work in other movies.
The actor was out of the glamour industry for 3 years and now after a long gap, he has come back to try his luck in the industry. Rahul appeared in Bigg Boss Season 1 and he was the winner of the show. Audiences showered lots of love and appreciations for the actor and made him the winner of the show.
If reports are to be believed, Rahul is making his comeback with the movie ‘Welcome To Russia’.Helmed by Nitin Gupta, Rahul will play the role of a top-rank police officer. When Rahul was asked about the movie, he said, “I’m happy with the production. It is being shot very well technically and has a good love story and good music. The character is half Russian, half Indian, a high ranking cop in Russia, also a marksman, a thoroughly corrupt cop who is involved with the Russian mafia. My look and role are very different and exciting. This film will be released this year and I am looking forward to it.”
