Secret Superstar displays the struggling journey of an aspiring singer, whose dreams are being shattered by her own parents. She then takes a firm decision and starts uploading videos online, without revealing her personal details. She even garb a burqa to hide her face from the people.
Elated director Advait Chandan said, “He is a school for me. I wanted to go to a film school, but I got rejected from FTII. Ten years ago, I got a job as an intern in Aamir’s ‘Taare Zameen Par‘, so since a decade, I think I am going to a film school. A few people get a godfather in this industry, but he is my film school.”
Director also adds, “He says yes to a film only if he likes the screenplay. The only way to convince him is to give a great narration and a great script.”
The film is scheduled to release on August 4, 2017.
