Aamir chose Dangal over Sanju, Why?
Sanjay Dutt’s much-anticipated biopic ‘Sanju’ starring Ranbir Kapoor in as Sanjay Dutt will be released on 29th June. Rajkumar Hirani the director of the film, approached Amir Khan firstly for the role of Sunil Dutt but due to some reasons, he refused the role. Fortunately, Paresh Rawal got the chance and he signed for the role of Sunil Dutt.
Talking to Outlook the director said, “Aamir is a friend. Any script I write, I bounce to him. When I narrated Sanju to him, he loved it and said, he loved it and said, ‘Main Bhi Karta hoon’ Then I said, do this (Sanjay Dutt’s role) but he was already engrossed with an elderly man role back then in Dangal (2016) around the same time.”Aamir Khan in the movie Dangal played a role of an elderly man named Mahavir Singh Phogat who previously was a Wrestler, this could be the reason behind the rejection of the role of Sanjay Dutt. Dangal is the highest grossing Bollywood movie earning 2000 crore (330$ million) across the globe.
The movie “Sanju” has created a lot of noise firstly because it based on Sanjay Dutt’s real-life story, and additionally owing to the reason that Director Rajkumar Hirani who is known to make hit films had plunged into this film, and lastly due to the involvement of the most credible star cast which includes Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Sonam Kapoor, Manisha Koirala, Boman Irani, Vicky Kushal. The teaser of the movie has become the talk of the town, and the viewers are loving Ranbir Kapoor playing the character of Sanju Baba.
