Meet actor who once sold tea, lottery tickets to make ends meet

Annu Kapoor’s journey from humble beginnings to Bollywood fame inspires many. Initially dreaming of becoming an IAS officer, Kapoor took unexpected turns to support his family, selling tea and lottery tickets. Today, he’s celebrated as one of the industry’s most versatile actors.

Kapoor was born on February 20, 1956, and started in entertainment as a stage actor in 1979. His breakout role came in 1984 with Basu Chatterjee’s *Ek Ruka Hua Faisla*.
