A few months back UAE-based Indian businessman B.R.Shetty announced about his 1000 crore project Randamoozham for which South superstar Mohanlal is roped in. The day this project was announced, everyone went gone gaga for this upcoming film. But now it has landed into a major controversy. As per reports, The Kerala Hindu Aikya Vedi President KP Sasikala has protested against the screening of the movie in Kerala.

According to the president, the movie should be named by the same the book has- Randamoozham instead of Mahabharatham. She said, “A big budget film is coming from Kerala named Mahabharatham. We are happy but the Hindus here have a condition – only a film which is close to the story of real Mahabharatham written by Vyasan should carry its name. No other movie can be named Mahabharatham. If the movie is based on Randamoozham let the name of the film also be named same. Veda Vyasan also has his rights.’’
