This is not the first time that Prabhas has given a blockbuster hit in south industry. He has already given a number of hits in the past. Apart from that, this is not the first time he is working with Anushka Shetty and Sathyaraj. In the past too, they have shared a screen space together in the blockbuster movie Mirchi, which also marked the debut of Koratala Siva.
Mirchi was a Telugu film released in 2013, which was a social drama. In the movie, Sathyaraj essayed the role of Prabhas father but in Bahubali, the former has killed the latter. Anyways, the film was turned out a superhit film and raked up over 48.10 crores worldwide. Outside India, the film has rake up 3 crores at the box office.
