It’s called Fast & Furious 7 in the UK. It’s Furious 7 in the US. Either way, here’s the first trailer…
On your marks, then. After a live show that felt like it could have been a prelude to the film itself rather than a trailer (with key cast and crew from the film all lined up talking about it), the very first promo for next year’s Fast & Furious 7 has finally been released. This comes after a week where we’ve had a series of brief previews to the trailer, and clarification that whilst the film is called Furious 7 in the US, we’re sticking with Fast & Furious 7 in the UK.
If you missed the live show? Er, probably for the best. Vin Diesel thinks it’s the best trailer he’s ever seen, though. We learned that.
The film stars Diesel, the late Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez, The Statham, Kurt Russell, Jordana Brewster and Lucas Black – amongst many others – and this time James Wan has stepped into the director’s chair (replacing Justin Lin, who helmed the four previous Fast & Furious films). Continuing the global exploits in the unstoppable franchise built on speed, Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Dwayne Johnson lead the returning cast of Fast & Furious 7. James Wan directs this chapter of the hugely successful series that also welcomes back favorites Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Elsa Pataky and Lucas Black. They are joined by international action stars new to the franchise including Jason Statham, Djimon Hounsou, Tony Jaa, Ronda Rousey, Nathalie Emmanuel and Kurt Russell. Neal H. Moritz, Vin Diesel and Michael Fottrell return to produce the film written by Chris Morgan.
Fast & Furious 7 will land in cinemas in April 2015, and without further ado, here’s that first trailer..
