According to sources, a big singing reality show is being planned by a leading channel, which doesn’t have a singing show in its programming fare. The show will be a talent hunt and the title of the show is ‘Meri Awaaz Suno’. The panel will have four judges on and so far out of the four, two — Kanika Kapoor and Badshah — have been finalised. Negotiations are being done with ace director Karan Johar. The source says, “The deal was finalised last Saturday and the show is likely to go on air two months later, mostly after Ganapati celebrations.”
When talked, Badshah, who is now a days on a wave of popularity with songs like Abhi Toh Party Shuru Hui (Khoobsurat), Ladki Beautiful (Kapoor & Sons) and Kala Chashma (Baar Baar Dekho), confirmed that he is one of the judges. He revealed, “I am judging the show and it is connected to talent. We are yet to figure out when it will be launched, but it should be in the next month.”
Famous for her songs like Baby Doll (Ragini MMS 2) and Chittiyan Kalayian (Roy), Kanika had appeared on a special episode of last season’s Voice India as a mentor, but this will be the first time for her that she will be coming as a judge on a show. Badshah will also make his TV debut as a judge.
However, if Karan Johar will be confirmed, then he will bring the judging expertise. He is judging Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9 this year and has been a judge on a number of shows earlier too. With these judges, it is sure it is going to be really really intersting and fun show. Also it is in news that a unique concept is being formulated for this programme.
