5 Bollywood Movie Scenarios We All Wish Were For Real

1. Happily Threesome After This guy gets to befriend two hot girls who are best friends – he almost lives with one of them, hangs out with the ladies day in and day out, and suddenly falls in love with the other one. Confused? We are too. So this is what life after 40 looks like for this lad – he marries one of the ladies with the consent of the other best friend. And the trio remains happily “friends” for the rest of their lives. Where has this ever happened in real life? Show me. Not that we wouldn’t love if that happened 2. Rich Girl Falls Hopelessly For A Poor Lad. A super rich girl – who doesn’t travel anywhere without her two maids, lives in a super luxury penthouse, suddenly, and out of the blue, falls in love with a poor taxi driver. Sounds cliche? Well, if the guy was anywhere close to Bradley Cooper we might have considered. But this guy? Let’s just say he is average and poor, or averagely poor. Duh. Ever seen a rich girl who has lived her life with such luxury falling for such ruggedly poor? Or for a rickshawallah for that matter? 3. Fat Boy Turns Into Hrithik Roshan There is this super fat boy – who loves to eat, mind you. He loves everything that can be eaten and digested or not. So the obese boy, with no facial features even remotely close to Hrithik Roshan, turns out to be the super fit guy in “Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham”. Talk about fantasies. This movie has ruined the lives of the obese around the world. *sob sob* Imagine the number of people in our generation who grew up watching Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham and had their hopes crushed because they didn’t become anywhere close to Hrithik. 4. Lazy Brat Gets His Dream Job This guy had no intention of doing anything in his life except spending his dad’s money. He was proudly lazy and his sole life purpose was to make an omelet and impress his girl. He is busy with his parties and friends and doesn’t give a damn about real jobs. What’s more? He even fails in his graduation. But this guy, this very guy, manages to get a job which he loves. He just magically seems to be able to chase his passion. If only life were that beautiful for any of us. Failing in graduation and getting our dream jobs. That’s what we would live and die for. 5. Go Treasure Hunting For Scholarships So you want to get scholarships for IVY League education? Go for treasure hunts – that too the ones which have Bollywood as their final destination. Bravo. In this scene from Student of the Year, the students have chased down a bunch of riddles, and for what? Only to realize that the answer was hidden in a scene from Deewar. Now the question is, does a student have to watch Deewar, and remember its every scene to get entry into the finest of institutions? So much for fantasies, we say. By the way, wouldn’t you have just loved, if that happened? Read these lines below, and imagine which school or college gives such riddles?? Usually what works for me is asking individuals I know who aren’t necessarily associated with the UA. For example, since high school, I have had a very strong connection with Rotarians, so sometimes I’ll ask if they’ve heard of any scholarships being offered to college students. Also, look into organizations that match your interests or demographic background. As a Hispanic student, I figured it would be a smart move to look into the Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Luckily, they did offer scholarships, which I applied for and was fortunate to receive!
