Samoa Joe’s future as an in-ring competitor to change after WWE Superstar teased a return to the ring?

The WWE superstar and former United States Champion, Samoa Joe, is rocking on television with his new role as a commentator on WWE RAW.  After his return to the RAW announcing team for the WWE Performance Center pandemic shows, the wrestler has been bringing something fresh to the table.

Even though, Joe is excelling at the announcing desk, and after suffering multiple concussions, many of his fans still believe that the star has a lot to offer in the ring.  During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer was asked about Samoa Joe’s current status in WWE and if he was “done in WWE” as a wrestler. After which Dave revealed the present situation of Joe and if he’s no longer going to be a wrestler,

“Probably not but for now, he does such a great job with announcing and he’s had a lot of concussions but for now he’s doing this. I know that when he first did the announcing, and of course things changed, I was told that it was temporary because he’s too valuable as a talent to have him as an announcer. But obviously, minds changed from when I was told that to when they decided to revamp it and he is great as an announcer. In theory, he’s supposed to wrestle again but who knows,” said the wrestling observer, Dave.

For uninitiated, Samoa has suffered a couple of concussions recently and is still on mic as the part of commentary after replacing Jerry “The King” Lawler on the commentary desk. Meanwhile, he was also suspended for 30 days by WWE for violating their wellness policy, and later suffered a concussion during the shooting of an advertisement.

Furthermore, the idea that Samoa will wrestle again came after he teased a return to the ring while confronting Seth Rollins on RAW after he verbally abused his commentary partner, Tom Phillips.
