Dil Se, the romantic thriller starring Shah Rukh Khan, Manisha Koirala and Preity Zinta completes 18 years today. Yes! The iconic film which still holds a special place in our hearts marks a successful 18 years today. The film is all about love, infatuation, suspense, obsession and death. It is a love saga but shows the intense emotions in an unusual way. The plot of the film, the music, the dialogues are so very well woven into the film that they will leave an imprint on your mind for a very long time. The film was directed by Mani Ratnam and the music was given by the ace music director and composer, A. R. Rahman. The music of the film and lyrics of Gulzar are so melodious, they will linger on your minds for a lifetime. Dil Se is a tragic love-story with a backdrop of terrorism and insurgency in Northeast India. The film revolves around Amar, played by Shah Rukh Khan, Moina/Meghna, played by Manisha Koirala, and Preeti Nair, played by Preity Zinta, who made her debut in Bollywood in this film. The film shows how intensely Amar falls in love with Meghna, the terrorist, and loses his own life. The drama and the emotions have been very well brought to life on screen by Shah Rukh, Manisha and Preity. As the film completes 18 years today, Shah Rukh recreated it in his own special way.
