A Guy Walked 32 KM for His Work, The CEO Gifted Him His Own Car

Doing your jobs with honesty is the most important things in everyone’s life. However, there are only a few who follow it. We often try to make excuses to get a holiday from the office. However, a guy from Alabama has set a new example for all working people.

Currently, the story of this guy named Walter Carr is going viral on the social media for all the good reasons. In an unfortunate turn of events, his car broke a night before the first day of his job at the moving company Bellhops. He didn’t want to miss the first day at his job, therefore he walked towards his destination.

Walter started walking from Homewood, Alabama to the town of Pelham, Alabama at midnight. He walked 20 miles (32 km) at least before he was picked up by the police at 4 a.m. Police listened to his story and took him for the breakfast. The police officials also gave him a ride to Lamey family, where he was scheduled to help them in moving that morning.

Walter arrived at Jenny Hayden Lamey and her family’s home before anyone of the movers arrived. Jenny Hayden took to Facebook to appreciate the guy.

The CEO of the company also showered praise for the Walter Carr via a Facebook post. He wrote,

“This is an incredible story. The grit and heart Walter showed defines Bellhops’ culture precisely. I’m really proud to be on the same team as Walter… we set a high bar on service and he just raised it. Look forward to thanking him in person this week.”

Impressed with the dedication and hard work of Carr, the CEO gifted his own 2014 Ford Escape to Walter Carr.

That’s a story worth appreciating, don’t you think so?
