Chennai: Actress Shruti Haasan turned into a ‘Raja Ravi Varma’ girl portraying for a photoshoot by G Venket Ram.
The actress was clicked in an attire showing the beauty and grace an Indian woman carries within herself. Dressed up in a purple saree with green bangles and a neatly tied bun with traditional ornaments, the actress brought down exact beauty of the painted image by the famous late Indian painter.
The photoshoot was done by the known photographer to be used to design a unique calender for the year 2020 for the NAAM charitable trust.
The photshoot is being done recreating the paintings of artist Raja Ravi Varma with all the south Indian female actors and dancers to celebrate ‘the spirit of womanhood’ themed 10th anniversary of the NAAM charitable trust.
These limited edition calenders and booklets were launched on February 3 in Chennai and the proceeds from the sale are to be used to raise funds for empowering single women from the weaker segments of society.
Apart from Shruti, other celebs who were featured in the calender were actresses Khushbu, Ramya Krishnan, Aishwarya Rajesh, Samantha Akkineni, Nadhiya, Lissy and dancers Priyadarshini Govind and Chamudeshwari.
