Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja tied the knot on May 8th in Mumbai. Their wedding was spectacular, star-studded and grand. It was nothing sort of A Karan Johar film. Sonam and Anand were dating for more than 2 years but never spoke about it until it was announced by the family on May 1. Ever since the announcement, fans were waiting to witness the biggest event in Bollywood.
The festival season in Kapoor house began on May 6. Close friends and family members of the family gathered at Kapoor house to apply henna on their hands. Day 2 saw the Mehendi ceremony of Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja. On day 3, Sonam and Anand got married in the Sikh wedding in the presence of close friends and family member. The couple hosted a grand wedding reception at The Leela, Mumbai later in the evening. The reception was inarguably one hell of a party, which was attended by many B-Town Celebrities. Day 1: 6th May: Sonam Kapoor’s Pre-wedding Celebration
Most popular henna artist Veena Nagda was hired by Sonam to apply Mehendi to her and her family for the wedding day. Sonam and her family members including Rhea Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, Shanaya and Anshula Kapoor got the mehendi done on their hands.
It was also attended by Anand Ahuja, who also danced with his wife-to-be. Bollywood stars like Karan Johar, Kirron Kher, Rani Mukerji, Anupam Kher and Satish Kaushik also attended the pre-wedding celebration.

Day 2: May 7: Sonam Kapoor’s Mehendi Ceremony
The main Mehendi ceremony of Sonam Kapoor took place on May 7 at Sunteck Signature Island, Bandra. Sonam opted for Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla outfit, whereas Anand Ahuja was seen in a bandhgala suit. Sonam’s Chura ceremony also happened on the same day.
Many B-Town stars like Rekha, Jacqueline Fernandez, Katrina Kaif, Swara Bhasker, Anil Kapoor, Shilpa Shetty, Janhvi Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor and many more attended the event. Father Anil Kapoor even showed off his Bhangra skills, as he danced with Shilpa Shetty.

Day 3: May 8: Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja’s Wedding
Sonam and Anand got married in traditional Anand Karaj rituals. The wedding took place at Sonam’s aunt bungalow in Bandra. The ceremony was attended by Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Shweta Bachchan, Rani Mukerji, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Swara Bhasker, Jacqueline Fernandez, Boney Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor, Arjun, Anshula, Reha and Harshvardhan Kapoor.
Sonam opted for bright red lehenga for the wedding, whereas Anand wore a bandhgala. After the wedding, the newlywed couple cut a quirky cake.

Day 3: May 8: Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja’s Star-studded Wedding Reception
Ahuja and Kapoor hosted a grand wedding reception at The Leela, Mumbai. The reception was attended by Bachhans, Kapoors, Khans and many more. From Salman to Shah Rukh to Ranveer danced to the tunes of several chartbusters. However, Karan Johar stole the show with his dance performance to the tune of Sonam’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo title track.
