Makers of ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ LASH OUT at Bhavya Gandhi, call him ‘unprofessional’!

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been in news for all wrong reasons for the last one week. Bhavya Gandhi who played the young Tapu on the show quit and then, the noted playwright Taarak Mehta who wad the inspiration behind the show, passed away.

The makers have found a replacement for Bhavya on the show. Raj Anadkat will be playing the new Tapu and he has started shooting as well.

But recently, when an online portal got in touch with Bhavya’s mother asking her the reason behind his exit, she revealed that Bhavya has landed up a plump role in a film and has been getting a lot of movie offers, which is why he decided to step down. Producer Asit Modi is not too happy with this.

Asit Modi told a leading daily,

“Honestly, it was sad to see Bhavya quitting our show when we needed him the most. I was like a father figure to him and I supported him throughout these years. He signed a Gujarati movie without informing us. I did not interfere in it as long as my show did not suffer. We were shooting a special Republic Day episode and Tappu was required for it. Surprisingly, Bhavya refused to shoot. I was disheartened to see his behavior towards me and my team. Throughout these years, I always cooperated with him, but one cannot bear this kind of unprofessional behaviour. We had no other option rather than replacing him with a new face.”

Raj has entered the show and now, the focus will be on him. Asit was quoted as saying,

“It seems like fame and success has gone into his head. But he should not forget that it was Tappu’s character which made him so popular. Anyway, I have no grudges against him and now my whole concentration will be on Raj and Tappu Sena.”

Actor Bhavya Gandhi, who played the role of Tappu aka Tipendra Jethalal Gada on the show ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ on Sony’s SAB TV, quit the show after working for more than 8 years on the show. Bhavya literally grew up on the show as we saw him as a little kid initially. In the initial years of the show, Tappu was a notorious kid and Bhavya pulled off the role really well.

By the end of the show’s first year, Tappu had become a household name and Bhavya had become one of the most loved celebs of all time. He played son to Daya ‘Tapu-Ke-Papa’ Gada (Disha Vakhani) and Jethalal Champaklal Gada (Dilip Joshi) on screen! His grandfather, Champaklal Jayantilal Gada (Amit Bhatt) called him ‘Tappuda’ affectionately. Tappu was the ring leader of the ‘Tapu Sena’! On the show, we saw Tappu’s transform from a notorious kid to a responsible teenager. Bhavya’s character grew with him and had become one of the most important pillars of the show.

The reason behind his exit is said to be his desire to explore himself as an actor. Bhagya has sure left the makers and his fans disappointed in him after quitting the show.
