Parineeti Opens Up On Working With Akshay Kumar In Kesari! Reveals Their Common Factor

Few days ago Karan Johar shared on twitter that lead actress of his upcoming film named ‘Kesari’ will be Parineeti Chopra where Akshay Kumar will be seen as male lead. ‘Kesari’ is based on the story of ‘Battle Of Saranghi’. It the very first time Parineeti is collaborating with Akshay Kumar. In film Akshay will be essaying the role of Havildar Ishar Singh, while Parineeti plays his wife.

While interacting with media at an event on Saturday, Parineeti expressed how excited she is to work with Akshay. She said:

“I am very excited to be working with him. In three days I will be leaving for ‘Namastey England’. But I am more excited for ‘Kesari’.It has been a dream to work with Akshay for a long time. He is a Punjabi and so am I, and we are doing a Punjabi film together. I am very excited to start the shoot.”

Parineeti is also shooting for Namastey England in which she is paired opposite Arjun Kapoor. On being asked how she’ll manage shooting for two movies at a time, Pari said that, “I have to do it simultaneously as, unfortunately, the dates are planned like that. So I will be shooting in Amritsar (for ‘Kesari’) and in London (for Namastey England’).”

Many are assuming that Namestey England is a sequel of Namestey London but it is not so. Producer-Director of the film- Vipul confirmed the news saying that, It’s a totally fresh script and a new story. There’s a possibility of the title working out really well, but it’s not a sequel.”

Recently the first look of Akshay Kumar from Kesari has been released. Asking Parineeti when she is unveiling her look, she said that the makers will decide when to unveil it. Directed by Anurag Singh and produced by Karan Johar ‘Kesari’ is scheduled to release on Holi 2019.
