In His Excitement To Vote, This NRI Flaunts His Air Ticket On Social Media, Someone Secretly Canceled It

Social media is one place where you can find weirdest things you could imagine. From daily routine to lifestyles to travel plans, people are putting everything on social media. If someone is traveling via plane, they make it a point to share it with their friends and followers. However, this user would have never thought that displaying his ticket on social media would land him in so much trouble.

It so happened that an NRI named Joystan Lobo living in Oman decided to visit India to cast his vote in ongoing Lok Sabha Election 2019. He booked his tickets with Air India. Joystan was so excited about casting vote, he took to social media to flaunt his air tickets and also talked about his favorite candidate in the Indian General Election.

As he was flaunting all the details on social media, someone noted down the PNR number of his air ticket and secretly cancelled them. Mr. Lobo found about his tickets being canceled on April 1.

According to the report of Indian Express, one of his friends settled at Puttur streamed his video via Facebook, WahstApp and some other social media platforms. His tickets were cancelled within two hours without his knowledge. Talking about this, Lobo said,

“I was unaware about the cancellation of ticket. Ticket was cancelled on March 30 at around 11:15 am (Oman time). I came to know about the cancellation of the ticket on April 1. I rebooked the ticket on the same day for April 4 and reached India,”

Lobo further added that he paid Rs. 21,045 for the tickets but got only Rs. 9000 as his refund. This loss didn’t deter him from his excitement to vote, as he booked another ticket on the same flight and returned to India.

Beware of flaunting everything on social media.
