‘Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se’, starring Dharmendra, Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol and Kriti Kharbanda has hit the screens on Friday (31st August). This is the third installment of its franchise with three Deols together once again. Despite having some LOL moments and a few hilarious scenes, the action-comedy failed to impress the critics. YPDPS couldn’t open up to great numbers on its first day.
Trade analyst Girish Johar said, “Yamla Pagla Deewana is a franchise. The first one was a hit, the second one was average and now the third installment has created a good buzz. With the three Deols (Sunny, Bobby and Dharmendra) and Kriti Kharbanda in the movie, there is a certain level of excitement among the audience. Also, it has got a wider release in comparison to this week’s another release Stree.”
‘Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se’ raked in just about Rs 4.25 crore whereas Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor starrer horror-comedy surpassed the expectations by collection Rs 6.82 crore on day 1. As per the report in bollywoodhungama.com, ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se’ collected 1,527 USD [Rs. 1.08 lacs] from 7 screens in Australia, while it earned
4,677 USD [Rs. 3.30 lacs] from 6 screens in New Zealand.
