Yami Gautam has been away from the news for quite some time. Her last film Sarkar 3 bombed at the box office and she has been out of the showbiz business ever since. Now, the actress is all set to star in Shahid Kapoor’s Batti Gul Meter Chalu. However, there is a problem and it looks like it has to do with something Yami did in past.
It all goes back to the promotional days of 2016 film ‘Sanam Re’ produced by T-Series. The company’s head Bhushan Kumar’s wife Divya Khosla Kumar got into an altercation with Yami Gautam during the promotion of Sanam Re. During that time, affair rumors of Yami and her co-star Pulkit Samrat were on fire. When she was asked about the same, Yami said that news had come out from the production team of the movie and she didn’t have any clue about it. This didn’t go down well with Divya, after all, she was accusing her team of leaking the information.
This is the reason that T-Series never worked with Yami after the release of the film. In fact, their other film Junooniyat was not promoted extensively. Now, it looks like the past has come to haunt Yami.
Yami Gautam has already given her nod to Prernaa Arora for the movie Batti Gul Meter Chalu, which is also co-produced by T-Series. Now, T-Series has demanded an apology from the actress for her previous comment.
Co-producer Prernaa Arora and director Shree Narayan Singh had zeroed in on Yami Gautam for Batti Gul Meter Chalu, which also features Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead roles. With T-Series demanding an apology from Yami, Prernaa is looking to bridge their differences.
Yami is confident that she wasn’t at fault and she should not apologize for the same. According to the latest report, Prernaa is going ahead with Yami.
