Wing Commander Abhinandan Was Mentally Tortured By Pakistani, Says Report

IAF’s Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman returned almost after 60 hours since he was captured by the Pakistani army. Now, it has been reported that he suffered huge mental torture when he was held captive by Pakistan. According to the report of new agency ANI, Abhinandan said that he was not physically harmed but was mentally harassed in Pakistani custody.

Abhinandan Varthaman was captured by Pakistani Army after his MiG 21 Bison was shot down by Pakistani F16 in a dog fight. Before his aircraft was shot down, he shot down the fourth generation F 16, which is way advancer than the MiG 21.

First image after his capture show Wing Commander blind-folded with his face soaked in blood. However, another video shows him sipping tea and looked like he was treated well.

The entire nation is overjoyed with his return from Pakistan. He returned to India via Wagah Border on Friday. Wing Commander met Defense Minister Nirmala Sitharaman at a hospital in Delhi where his medical check is being carried out.  The Defense Minister told him that India was proud of his courage and bravery.

After his return, Abhinandan met his families and several other top officials from the Indian Air Force. According to the report, his medical checkup is part of the “cooling process” that would continue till Saturday. He will be debriefed only after his medical check-up is complete.
