Akshay Kumar Apologises For Holding The Indian Flag Upside Down During Women’s World Cup Final, 2017

From Shah Rukh Khan to Sonakshi Sinha to Anushka Sharma to Varun Dhawan, many Bollywood celebrities sent wishes to the Indian women’s cricket team for their outstanding performance against England in the World Cup Final, 2017. Even Akshay Kumar was there witnessing the match. But when he posted a picture on twitter something went wrong. He was holding the Indian flag upside down while cheering up for the team. It might be because of the excitement that he forgot to hold it right.

He captioned the picture as “‪#WomenInBlue we are rooting for you! #WWC17Final #INDvENG (sic).”

After that, people started trolling the star on Twitter and Instagram. Check some of the comments.

After seeing the comments, the humble actor apologised for what he did. He immediately took to twitter and wrote, “Extending my sincerest apology for violating the code of conduct for the tricolour. Didn’t mean to offend anyone, the picture has been removed”

Akshay has earlier posted a video of catching a train from Leeds to London and that’s too barefoot to watch the final World Cup match between India and England. He captioned the video as, “This is how excited I am, never in my life have I run for a train barefoot to make it in time for a match!! Come on #WomenInBlue! #WWC17Final (sic).”
