Salman and Arjun Kapoor have been reportedly snubbing and avoiding each other completely ever since there were reports going the round of his growing proximity to Arbaaz Khan’s ex-wife Malaika Arora Khan. It was also said that the reason for divorce between Arbaaz and Malaika was due to Arjun’s growing closeness and proximity to Malaika Arora Khan. Some of the sources even went on record to say that they’ve been seen partying and getting close at Mumbai’s very posh restaurants. ‘’When Salman got to know about these rumours he had a face to face direct confrontation with Arjun Kapoor who blatantly denied all these rumours that were going around the gossip mills. But now we’ve heard that the friendship between Arjun and Malaika has been growing ever since then and because of that Salman is very upset and stressed. It’s a universal fact that when it comes to his family he won’t tolerate any nuisance and trouble’’. A source was quoted back in 2016.
But recently now when Salman was summoned by the Jodhpur court for his role in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case and when he was sent to Jodhpur Jail later, from that time itself Arjun has been in constant touch and contact with Salman’s sisters Alvira and Arpita to know more about Salman Khan’s status in regards to the case. ‘’Ever since Salman was condemned, Arjun has been in regular contact with Bhai’s sisters Alvira and Arpita with the motive of finding out more about him’’. A source told a leading entertainment portal.
Infact honestly Arjun has many times been quoted as saying that he has learned all the nuances of acting in films from Salman himself. In his 2015 film Tevar, the song ‘’Superman Salman Ka Fan’’ was dedicated solely to Salman on which Arjun was seen dancing in the film. The rumour mills were going afloat with the speculations that Salman had apparently told all the film makers to not offer any sort of work to Arjun Kapoor in films. The film makers on their part were reportedly avoiding taking Arjun in their films as they didn’t want to anger Salman at all. Even Arjun’s father Boney Kapoor had advised Arjun to not end up getting very close with Malaika as it was affecting their friendship. Salman had appeared in Boney Kapoor’s film ‘’No Entry’’ back in 2004 without charging any fee as Boney was going through a financial crisis.
Quite a few months ago there were again rumours in the buzz that Arjun and Malaika had decided to part ways with each other permanently and then just move on with their lives. So, now it may be seen as Arjun’s real, genuine and kind of a desperate attempt at making things right and setting the record straight to bury the hatchet with Salman permanently. ‘’Salman has been told of Arjun’s concern at making things right between them. But still it’s not yet known if Salman will respond positively or negatively to his gesture of friendship again’’. A source said this to a leading entertainment portal. After Sridevi’s sudden demise in February, Arjun has stood by his stepsisters Jhanvi and Khushi like a rock solid brother and supported them in their difficult times.
But will Salman forgive Arjun Kapoor? Only time will tell that.
