When I sign a film, I first look at the story: Aamir Khan

Aamir Khan who is rightly called the perfectionist in the Bollywood Industry, has been known for working in only a few but powerful movies each year! However, the efforts put by the perfectionist seem to have gone in vain as his movie Thugs of Hindostan failed miserably! It is not long ago that Aamir Khan had taken the credit for the failure of the movie and held himself responsible! In yet another conversation, here’s Aamir Khan revealing how he chooses films after looking at the story!

“When I sign a film, I first look at the story or the script…Actors and technicians are all a part of the film but it all begins with the writer. The writer is the origin and the most important aspect of the making of a film,” Aamir Khan said in a statement. Talking about what he expects from the writers and the script before signing a movie as he his judging the Cinestaan India’s Storytellers Script Contest, Aamir Khan said, “We are looking at somebody with an imagination and a different story or scenario that we come across, where the characters have been well written, the premise and goal is clear and where the whole journey of the story is highly entertaining and engaging. That’s what we look for in a good script.”
