When Bollywood’s Desi Girl Priyanka Chopra Met International Pop-Singer Nick Jonas: A Love Story
Bollywood’s desi girl Priyanka Chopra has finally found love in Nick Jonas. Priyanka and Nick will be taking wedding vows at Jodhpur’s royal Umaid Bhawan Palace over this weekend. Till now we knew that love sparked between two when they met at Met Gala 2017. But there is more to it. In Vogue magazine’s January edition, it is been revealed that they came in touch with each other back in 2016.
Ralph Lauren who invited Nick and Priyanka to attend the 2017 Met gala together, didn’t know at that time that two met a week before of MET Gala ober the drinks at the Carlyle hotel in New York.In interview couple revealed that after drinks, Priyanka invited Nick at her place where her mother- Madhu Chopra was was watching Law & Order.
“We hung out for a couple of hours,” said Priyanka in the interview, adding, “He patted my back before he left.” Nick further added that “There was no kiss. There was nothing.” Adding, “Your mom was in the house! I thought it was a respectful first night.” And Priyanka replied, “It was too respectful if you ask me.”
Till now we knew that Nick Jonas proposed Priyanka on her birthday. Well it is not totally correct. As per Vogue magazine’s January cover issue on their love story, Nick Jonas waited for midnight because he wanted to make sure that proposal doesn’t coincide with Priyanka’s birthday in the future. Revealing how he proposed Priyanka, singer said-
“I got down on one knee, again, and I said: Will you make me the happiest man in the world and marry me?”
He further revealed that Priyanka Chopra took 45 seconds to react after he went on his knees to propose her and when she said nothing he asked her if he can put the ring on her finger if she have no objection. Awwww! That’s really cute. Isn’t it?
Nick was quoted saying- “No joke—she took about 45 seconds. Forty-five seconds of silence.” When actress didn’t utter a word he asked her-“I’m going to put this ring on your finger now unless you have any objections.”
