What Race 3 Has in Common With Avengers: Infinity War, Deadpool 2 And Game of Thrones? You’ll Be Surprised To Know!
Nowadays, with the growing popularity of the internet and social media, it is very hard to keep any secret. The same thing can be a major concern for big films. We have often seen plot details or climax or sometimes entire movie getting leaked online. It really spoils the fun of watching the movie. However, the makers of the films are getting a hold of it, as they are using different tactics to keep spoilers from getting out.
Just a month back, biggest superhero movies of all time, Avengers: Infinity War released and smashed several box office records all around the globe. However, very little was known before the release of the movie. The makers took extreme measures to keep the secret from leaking out. When asked about the same, director of Infinity War, Russo brothers says that giving misinformation is the best way to keep the secret.
It has become a very essential weapon for superhero and thriller films, as it allows them to keep the secret intact. Fooling audience before the release of the movie requires lots of creativity at scripting and marketing level. We are going to tell you three main tricks used by makers to stop any leaks and spoilers.
1. Shooting Different Endings:
It has been there for a very long time, but now it has become more frequent. Recently, we have reported that the makers of Race 3 have shot multiple endings in order to avoid any leaks. Race franchise is known for the gripping story and even crazier climax. Keeping secret and spoilers from getting out has become very important for Salman Khan’s film.
It looks like the makers of Race 3 have been inspired by the makers of the most popular drama series Game of Thrones. Earlier, Emilia Clarke who plays Daenerys Targaryen aka mother of the dragon had said that they are shooting multiple endings for the Season 8. GOT has always been troubled by leaks. During Season 7, entire episodes, script pictures and some video footage got leaked online even before it aired on HBO. This has led makers to shoot multiple endings for the final season so that spoilers won’t get out.
2. Not Giving Complete Script
The makers of Game of Thrones are taking extreme measures to save the show from any leaks. They have not given the bound script to any cast member this time. Instead, they are giving the script one dialogue at a time.
It seems that they have taken an inspiration from MCU. During the shooting, the epic Avengers: Infinity War, only handful of people including director duo, writers and few Marvel people were given complete and actual script. No actors got the actual scripts, instead, they circulated fake scripts. Benedict Cumberbatch aka Doctor Strange said that he got the script, but he didn’t know if it was the final one or the fake one. Eventually, it worked wonders for them, as the movie did phenomenal business all across the globe.
3. Trailer Is Deceptive
Yes, you read it right! Not everything shown in the trailer ends up in the movie. If the trailer of Infinity War was true, we would have seen Hulk smashing all through Wakanda, but that didn’t happen, did it? It is not the first time, in Spider-man: Homecoming, there was one scene where Spiderman and ironman were flying through the city in the trailer, but it was not in the movie. Marvel has been using this technique for a pretty long time now.
Same thing happened with Deadpool 2, where audience thought that X-Force will have a major role to play. However, if you watch the movie, you know it was not the case. Most of the X-Force member appeared in the cameos.
