Karan Johar’s much awaited film Kalank, that was to star Sridevi. The co-producer of the film, on Wednesday morning and has an impressive cast comprising Madhuri Dixit.
Actor Janhvi Kapoor daughter of late actor Sridevi and producer Boney Kapoor, made her debut in the film Dhadak last year. She has confirmed that Madhuri Dixit will play the role initially offered to her mother in Abhishek Varman film being produced by Dharma Productions.
In an event, Janhvi spoke about actor Madhuri Dixit Nene, who replaced Sridevi in the movie Kalank. She said that she is looking forward to watch her in the movie. “I was excited to see her in Kalank from audience point of view.
She further said, “I think teaser of ‘Kalank’ and every character’s look in the film is looking really beautiful so, I am really excited to see that film,” added Janhvi.
“Abhishek Varman’s next film was very close to mom’s heart …Dad, Khushi and I are thankful to Madhuriji for now being a part of this beautiful film…” Janhvi wrote on Instagram and posted a picture of the two actresses from the sets of a dance reality show.

The ensemble cast of Kalank also includes Alia Bhat, Varun Dhawan, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sanjay Dutt. Madhuri and Sanjay Dutt will reunite on the big screen after almost two decades.
