Vivek Oberoi’s wife served notice by Crime Branch in links with Sandalwood drug probe
Vivek Oberoi’s star wife Priyanka Alva has been served a notice by Crime Branch, on Friday, in connection with a drugs case allegedly involving her brother Aditya Alva. The notice came in a day after Bengaluru Police raided the Bollywood actor’s Mumbai residence in search of his brother-in-law. And now as per recent developments, the Crime Branch has served notice to actor’s wife over links with brother Adithya Alva in connection with the Sandalwood drug case.
As per a news agency tweet, “City Crime Branch Bengaluru serves notice to Priyanka Alva Oberoi over links with brother Adithya Alva in connection with Sandalwood drug case. #Karnataka CCB raided actor Vivek Oberoi’s Mumbai residence in search of his relative Aditya Alva in connection with the case y’day.”
To note, Adithya Alva and Priyanka Alva are the children of ex Karnataka Minister Jeevaraj Alva, and the former is reportedly accused in the infamous ‘Sandalwood drugs case’- the alleged drug syndicate in the Kannada film industry.
Earlier, the Joint Commissioner of Bengaluru police, Sandeep Patil, was quoted by media saying, “Adithya Alva is absconding. Vivek Oberoi is his relative and we got some information that Alva is there. So we wanted to check. So a court warrant was obtained and the Crime Branch team has gone to his house in Mumbai.”
Fo the unversed, Priyanka’s brother Adithya has reportedly been missing since the police launched the probe in the alleged drug case where illegal substances were reportedly supplied to singers and actors in the Kannada film industry also known as, ‘Sandalwood’.
