Vivek Oberoi has become talk of the time since the moment he shared a meme on his Twitter handle in the wake of exit polls of Lok Sabha 2019. He used a photo of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan with Salman Khan, himself and Abhishek Bachchan to describe the Lok Sabha 2019 results. Vivek tweeted the meme by writing, “Haha! creative! No politics here….just life Credits : @pavansingh1985”.
Chairman of the state women’s commission- Vijaya Rahatkar issued a statement in which it is clearly mentioned that they’ll will be sending him a notice for the same. After tweeting the meme, netizens and Bollywood celebs trolled him left-right. Have a look:

Filmmaker Madhur Bandharkar expressed that he never expected such thing coming from Vivek and also asked the actor to remove the tweet and apologize for the same. Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor called Vivek’s tweet as “disgusting and classless”.
Vivek Oberoi replied to Sonam Kapoor’s reaction to his tweet saying that, “Aap apne filmon mein thoda kam overact karein aur social media pe thoda kam overreact karein,”

Later on, actor deleted the tweet and apologised for sharing a meme on Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. He wrote, “Sometimes what appears to be funny and harmless at first glance to one, may not be so to others. I have spent the last 10 years empowering more than 2000 underprivileged girls, I can’t even think of being disrespectful to any woman ever.”

On work front, Vivek is busy promoting his upcoming film which happens to be Narendra Modi’s biopic. Film is slated to release on 24th May, a day after Lok Sabha election results. Vivek Oberoi has campaigned for the BJP this election season.
