Vivek Oberoi has received a huge backlash on social media for his controversial tweet. In the wake of the exit poll that gave BJP led NDA clean sweep and most likely another term in the office for Prime Minister. Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi created a huge uproar when he shared an exit poll meme featuring him, Salman Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, and Aaradhya Bachchan.

The relationship of Vivek, Salman, and Aishwarya is a well known fact to the world, but Vivek sharing a meme inspired by his personal life is something no one would appreciate. He actually shared a meme that shows his relationship with Aishwarya as “Exit Poll”, Salman’s relationship with Aishwarya as “Opinion Poll”, whereas calling Aishwarya Rai’s current life “Result”.

After receiving huge backlash by fans, National Commission of Women and several celebrities including Sonam Kapoor, Vivek Oberoi has issued an apology and also deleted the tweet. In a series of Tweets, Vivek Oberoi wrote,

“Sometimes what appears to be funny and harmless at first glance to one, may not be so to others. I have spent the last 10 years empowering more than 2000 underprivileged girls, I can’t even think of being disrespectful to any woman ever.”

In another tweet, he wrote, “Even if one woman is offended by my reply to the meme, it calls for remedial action. Apologies🙏🏻 tweet deleted.”
