When Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma landed in Mumbai yesterday, fans and media got in a frenzy as there was a huge chaos at the airport. Somehow after the couple got out, they were followed by a lot of photographers to capture them entering their new home in Worli. But, the lovebirds left everyone gasping for breath when instead of entering their building, Omkar 1973 (34th floor of Tower C), they went into another skyscraper by Raheja. We wonder why?

Well, Virat and Anushka were accompanied by a very close friend of Virat. As soon as they got off at the airport and saw the media, they decided that it was this friend’s house (in Raheja’s building) where they would spend their evening. The couple probably wanted to dodge the media and wanted everyone to disperse. They were at Virat’s friend’s house till 8 pm, post which, the couple headed towards their building, Omkar 1973.

But that’s not where the story ends!
A popular news portal has reported that Virat & Anushka will get the possession of their new home only in January 2018. So till then they had to find a place to crash. So yesterday, post 8pm, instead of landing on the 34th floor, they were welcomed by Virat’s sister on the 40th floor of another wing.

It so happened that the owner of the building (Omkar 1973), Babulal Varma, offered the newlyweds his flat (which is on the 40th floor) till the time the couple’s pad on the 34th floor is ready, which BTW is a swanky 5BHK sea facing apartment worth a whopping Rs 34 crores.So let’s wait and watch what date, Virat and Anushka finally start living in their new home.
