Vikrant Massey’s Comment on Taapsee sayin ‘hero didn’t matter’ in Haseen Dillruba?

Vikrant Massey recently addressed Taapsee Pannu’s viral comment about *Haseen Dillruba*, where she stated that the identity of the hero didn’t matter in the film. In an interview with NDTV, Vikrant shared his thoughts on the remark and expressed his views on the broader culture of disagreeing.

While acknowledging that *12th Fail* didn’t feature a major star and didn’t see massive box-office success, Vikrant pointed out that he wasn’t offended by Taapsee’s comment. He understood that films like *Haseen Dillruba*, which may have had unconventional narratives, allowed for different approaches to casting, and thus, the male lead wasn’t as crucial to the story. He also added that he hadn’t experienced a major solo hit before, despite receiving positive feedback for his performances.

Vikrant emphasized the importance of healthy debates and pointed out the disturbing trend of intolerance that often emerges from disagreements. He noted how relationships, both online and offline, are increasingly affected by differing views, particularly in the context of political discussions. He acknowledged that it’s becoming harder to simply “agree to disagree,” which he finds concerning.

This remark by Vikrant reflects a mature outlook on the entertainment industry and personal beliefs. It also highlights the complexity of relationships in the current era, where differing opinions often lead to division.

On the work front, Vikrant’s new film *The Sabarmati Report*, released on November 15, 2024, showcases him as a determined journalist uncovering the untold truths surrounding the Godhra train tragedy, alongside a strong supporting cast including Raashii Khanna and Ridhi Dogra. The film aims to provide a fresh and impactful perspective on a tragedy that has left a lasting imprint on Indian history.
