Veteran actress Sridevi passed away back in February 2018 in a posh hotel in Dubai, leaving her fans in shock. After 3 months of her death, the ace actress was honoured at the Titan Reginald F Lewis Film Honours on Thursday. The 71st Cannes film festival is honouring the women for their astonishing work in film industry all over the world.
According to the reports, Sridevi’s husband Boney Kapoor and her daughter Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor were supposed to receive the awards, however, ace filmmaker Subhas Ghai received the award on the behalf of her family.

Ace director Subhash Ghai took to Twitter to share the pictures with a caption that reads, “It was honour to receive Award on behalf of legend @SrideviBKapoor at @Festival_Cannes yesterday for her outstanding contribution in indian cinema n shared my experience with impeccable inimitable actor to western audience hosted by Titan Reginald F. Lewis film honours 🎥”
Earlier Boney Kapoor said to a leading daily, “I’m happy that people from the world over are recognising her body of work and her contribution to cinema. Even though the overwhelming emptiness of losing her remains, it’s comforting to know that she lives on through her work.”
The late actress has also won a National Award for her performance in crime thriller Mom.
Sridevi was one of the biggest superstars in Bollywood and will always be missed. She will be remembered through her works in the Indian film industry.
