‘Dhadak’ Public Review: Janhvi Kapoor And Ishaan Khatter Starrer Gets Mixed Responses

The most awaited movie of the year ‘Dhadak’ hit the screens today and in a public review done by filmymantra.com, we got mixed reviews by the public. This is Janhvi’s debut movie and in her acting, we could see that pressure of a star kid. Efforts were seen in her acting as well as her hard work in trying to emulate the Mewari accent. Ishaan has done his best as a lover boy. He is more expressive than Janhvi. Well, he is not as good as Beyond The Clouds which was his debut.

Sairat was set on the backdrop of Maharashtra and in the second half, the real story begins. Parshu and Archi’s struggle, the difficulties and differences they face and then the heart-wrenching climax. Dhadak is set in Udaipur and Kolkata and we somehow find Madhu (Ishaan Khatter) and Parthavi (Janhvi Khatter) riding over their hurdles not in a hard way. If you compare Dhadak with Sairat, then you might be disappointed as you might not find that rawness Nagraj Manjule created in Sairat.

As Shashank Khaitan has taken Rajasthan as the backdrop, we were expecting some Rajasthani folk music in the background score as well in the music, but the music by Ajay-Atul has the undertones of Mahastratian music as it had in Sairat.
