Varun Dhawan’s Judwaa 2 2nd Day Box Office Collection: Beats Salman Khan’s Tubelight

Judwaa 2 is receiving lots of love from the audience all over the country. The movie is doing phenomenal business all across the world. 2017 has not been a good year for Bollywood industry, multiple big-budget movies have failed to earn big at the box office. Judwaa 2 Box Office Collection would definitely give a hope to the industry.

Judwaa 2 has a full-on family entertainer and most bankable star Varun Dhawan. There was lots of expectation from the film. The movie opened big at the box office by earning more than Rs. 16 Crore on the first day. Judwaa 2 is the fourth highest opening day figure of 2017.

Baahubali: The Conclusion broke all the records at the box office. Very few Bollywood films like Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, Badrinath Ki Dulhania, and Raees have done good business. 2017 has been a good year for small budget movies like Bareilly Ki Barfi, Shubh Mangal Saavdhan and Newton have done very good business.

There was lots of hope from Varun Dhawan starrer Judwaa 2. The movie has created lots of buzzes, all thanks to first Judwaa response. The movie has been making right kind of noise since it was announced. The movie also benefitted from chartbusters songs and festive release. Moviegoers were also waiting for a good entertainer, which was delivered to them as Judwaa 2. Judwaa 2 has everything for a family entertainer. It seems like it is going to be the sure shot hit.

Judwaa 2 earned Rs. 16.10 Crore on Day one. Due to stupendous words of mouth, the movie also grossed big on the 2nd day. Judwaa 2 earned Rs. 20.25 Crore on Saturday, which takes its two-day total to Rs 36.35 Crore. The movie has beaten the second-day box office collection of Salman Khan’s Tubelight.

Varun Dhawan is one of the most popular young actors of the Hindi film industry. He is also very popular on social media. Talking about the same to a leading daily, BKD actor said, “There is a little hypocrisy there. When I meet people at the public events or put out trailer or videos on social media, I get a response from thousands of people. Are they all going to the theatre? Does the love I get from social media gets translated at the box office?”

He further added, “Not all the time. But a real star is who gets that at the theatre and have a steady fan-follower for years, like Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan”

Judwaa 2 got third highest second day total of 2017. The movie is looking to have a big first Weekend number, as it may gross around Rs. 50 Crore in three days easily. The Monday is a holiday all across the country, which will also benefit the film. We will have to wait and see how much it earns on Sunday and Monday. The real test for the film will happen on Tuesday, as it will get back to normal. There are no major releases in next few weeks, which means the movie can enter in 150 Crore Club.
