Earlier we shared the first look of Anushka Sharma and Varun Dhawan from their upcoming film Sui Dhaaga. A piece of news coming in states that while shooting for the film Varun Dhawan suffered an injury on-set in Chanderi, Madhya Pradesh on Friday. A scene was suppose to shot in which Varun’s character Mauji engage in a street brawl and subsequently roll down a flight of stairs. For this scene Varun refused to have body double and he went up performing on his own.

The source added, “The director clearly told Varun of the risk involved in the scene and tried to dissuade him from attempting the stunt. But Varun was adamant. Unfortunately, while filming, one of the steps in the staircase gave way and in the process, he sustained injuries on his head, including a gash on the forehead.”
The unit hand further told the leading daily that- “The doctor assured Sharat, Anushka and the crew that Varun’s injuries were minor, but recommended bed rest to the actor for the day. However, Varun resumed shooting after resting for a few hours as he didn’t want to delay the schedule in any way.”
