Urvashi Rautela Reflects on 38-Year Age Gap with Sunny Deol: “I Was Younger Than His Sons”
In her debut film *Singh Saab The Great* (2013), Urvashi Rautela starred opposite Sunny Deol, noting their remarkable 38-year age gap—the largest in Bollywood, she believes. Reflecting on the experience, she humorously remarked that she was even younger than Deol’s sons, calling it “the biggest age gap in Bollywood history.”
In an interview, Urvashi shared her thoughts on acting alongside much older actors, acknowledging that such roles give her the opportunity to work with iconic stars with massive fan followings. She commented, “If the director believes the casting serves the story, then it works for me. It’s a record-breaking age gap of 38 years, and yes, I was younger than his sons.” She added that while dating older men isn’t her preference off-screen, her career offers a different dynamic.
Urvashi is now set to break her own record with a new project in the South Indian film industry, starring alongside the legendary Nandamuri Balakrishna, who is in his 60s. She expressed excitement over possibly setting another age-gap milestone, noting that acting with such veteran stars often enhances a film’s value, given their extensive fan base. However, she clarified that she embraces these dynamics only in a professional setting.
Her upcoming film, *NBK 109*, is packed with an impressive cast including Bobby Deol, Ravi Kishen, Dulquer Salmaan, Prakash Raj, and Payal Rajput, alongside Balakrishna. Bobby Deol is reportedly stepping into the role of the film’s antagonist.
