UP Government Gave Green Signal to Bhansali’s Film “Padmavat”
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film “Padmavat” faced many controversies since its trailer release. After a string protests by the Rajput Karni Sena, they have strictly banned the movie, it will not screened in some parts of India such as Rajasthan, MP and Gujarat. Later on, the film has been watched by the panellist which include professors from Rajasthan University. However, they said the film has certain historical scenes in it. So after cutting down 300 cuts and some modification to it, CBFC can pass the movie and give the release date to the movie. Now, the film has been passed by CBFC with certain modifications and will now release on January 25, 2018.
Yesterday, BJP-ruled state Gujarat had put a ban on the screening of the film. But, Yogi Adityanath led Uttar Pradesh government have given a green signal to the movie’s release in the state. As compare to Rajasthan government, they put ban on the screening of movie, they said “The movie will not be screened in any state of India”. They banned the movie “Padmavat” because Rani Padmini’s sacrifice is associated with honour, esteem and pride of the state and we will not allowed her dignity to be hurt.
On 12th January 2018, Karni Sena has strictly demands CBFC to ban the movie “Padmavat”. They added, “If the movie “Padmavat” gets release in any cinema hall, then they will lead to curfew in the cinema halls”. “Padmavat” starrer Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh will be awaiting for the movie to release in cinema halls and viewers will not get offends after watching the movie.In movie “Padmavat”, Ranveer Singh will be seen in the role of Alauddin Khilji, Shahid Kapoor as Ratan Rawal Singh and Deepika Singh as Rani “Padmini”.
