On the professinal front, Twinkle Khanna is producing her first flick Padman, under her production banner Mrs Funnybones Movies. The film is based on a true story of a social entrepreneur Arunachalam Muruganantham, who got awarded Padma Shri for his work in providing affordable sanitary napkins to village women. Arunachalam Muruganantham was also entered in the list of TIME magazine’s 1oo most influential people.
Helmed by R Balki, who is already a popular name for directing movies like Cheeni Kum, Paa, Shamitabh and Ki And Ka. The film stars Akshay Kumar, Radhika Apte and Sonam Kapoor in titular roles.
