‘Tu Aashiqui’ Actress Jannat Zubair Finally Breaks Her Silence Over ‘Kissing Scene’ Fiasco

Earlier we reported that makers of ‘Tu Aashiqui’ are hunting for the new actress to play the lead in the show as the current lead actress Jannat Zubair refused to do an intimate scene. A huge argument took place between the makers of the show and Jannat’s mother. The matter spread like fire in forest. Finally Jannat broke her silence over this kissing fiasco and interacted with media house about the same.

Jannat explained why she refused to a kissing scene on show. She went up on explaining that she is just 16 years old and she gotta a lot of teenage followers hence doing such thing at this age on national television will set wrong example for them and also she is not comfortable doing such scene. She was quoted saying

“I understand that a leading lady is expected to do certain things, but I am just 16. I can’t do what a 25-year-old would. A kiss on the hand or forehead is fine, but what I was asked to do was out of place. It was an intense kiss and I wouldn’t have been comfortable doing it. I have many teenagers following me on social media and if I agree to do something like this, it would set a wrong example. There is an appropriate age for everything and even then, the actress should be given the option of choosing to do a particular scene.”

She added,

“Most parents don’t speak against the makers, fearing that their child would be replaced on the show, but not mine. I felt very proud when my mother took a stand for me and told the makers that I won’t do the scene. Also, it’s not that we raised the concern midway. We had clearly mentioned right at the beginning that I wouldn’t do scenes that didn’t suit my age. I was clear that I’d rather quit the show than perform intimate scenes with my co-actor.”
