Traffic Movie Review- An Intriguing Film With Fine Performances

Story:

The films based on a real-life incident that occurred in Chennai in June 2008. The film stages a dramatic race against the clock undertaken by doctors and traffic policemen to save the life of a 12-year child.

Plot:

Ramdas Godbole (Manoj Bajpayee),  is a Mumbai traffic Constable, who got suspended for taking a bribe, got to know that a girl is in need for a heart transplant on urgent basis. On the other side an incident happened, where a Car hit the bike on Mumbai roads and claimed the death of a Reporter Rehan Ali (Vishal Singh). The Reporter was left early in the morning to take the interview of Dev Kapoor (Prosenjit Chatterjee). Dev is the father of the same girl who needed an immediate heart transplant. Dev tries all stardom powers to save his daughter who is admitted in Pune. He first tried to for a Private Jet but due to bad weather it couldn’t possible. Soon after that, the Doctors in Mumbai were informed about both the incident who came up with a mission impossible plan. Rehan’s family agreed to give his dead son heart for the girl but the whole problem was the limited time. The heart needs to be reached in 150 minutes from Mumbai to Pune via Highway and here comes the important part of Traffic constable Ramdas. Doctor and Ramdas approached the joint commissioner of traffic police Gurbir Singh (Jimmy Sheirgill), who was initially reluctant, but finally agreed to this mission. Soon the ambulance left from Mumbai in the peak hours and the whole movie gets intriguing.

Direction, Music, and Screenplay:

Late Rajesh Pillai must be commended for his finesse Direction for the movie. The Set timer is what makes the movie more appealing and engaging. The film deals with the core theme of anger, sadness, happiness and redemption. The actors have played the key roles to make the movie more artistic and lively. Mithoon’s background score has helped the movie to be more intense and gripping. Suresh Nair has adapted the screenplay really well by its Tamil remake released in 2011.

The last word:

The film has all the realistic element for the audience. It is one of the best realistic movie of the year on a line of Airlift and Neerja. The actors must be really commended, who had brought the life into the story. A must watch a film for the Cinema aficionados.
