3. Leh Palace
Formerly a Royal Palace, Leh Palace overlooks the town of Leh, perched from its altitude.
Constructed as early as the 17th century, the palace has been restored by the Archaeological Survey Department of India, for touristy purposes. All of 9-storeys of height, the palace serves as an ideal spot, a watchtower if you will, for tourists who seek safe accommodation while also having an unhindered view of the starry night sky above.
