Nandita Das- She has done daring films like âFireâ, âEarthâ, and âBawanderâ, is a woman of substance. Das is the public face of âDark is Beautifulâ, a campaign launched by Women of Worth, a womenâs-rights organisation based in Chennai. She is also a philanthropist, and has worked as the project coordinator in âAnkurâ, a non-governmental organization, working towards the empowerment of women. Das is one woman who truly makes us proud by acing in two fields – social activism and films.
